Beautiful Sozopol
For those who have never been to Sozopol, here are some images from the place we call home. It's a place where History, Style and Culture come together under a blue sky and warm turquoise blue seas.
The Old Town is rich in it's heritage but still retains the charm of a traditional fishing village, with it's historical roots in Greece.
It's a place with chic Restaurants, Shops and Galleries, and draws the 'well heeled' from all over the World. It also attracts Artists, Writers and Poets, especially during the Apollonia Festival at the end of August every year.
So even if you have to look on a map, as we did it's well worth a visit.
Though the official season is traditionally short (the Bulgarian school holidays) from Mid June to Mid September, the weather here is usually beautiful and reliable from May to November. Springtime and Autumn are particularly nice and the temperatures are very pleasant.
It's quirky too, and very inexpensive, compared to other 'More Fashionable' destinations.
But if you want a different holiday in a beautiful place think Sozopol in Bulgaria.
We did, and never left !
